Chapter 1

∆ ~it was a day kissed by rain~∆

The sky darkens, the wind whispers, and the first drop falls-soft, sudden, magical. In seconds, the earth comes alive, soaking in the long-awaited rain. Streets glisten, leaves dance, and the scent of wet soil fills the air.

Children laugh, lovers share umbrellas, and somewhere in the city a girl,She steps out of the car slowly, one foot touching the glistening ground as raindrops kiss her hair and shoulders. A loose strand of hair clings to her cheek, damp and delicate. She doesn't rush-instead, she pauses, head tilted slightly toward the grey sky, eyes closed for a heartbeat, as if greeting the rain like an old friend.

A breeze tugged at her coat, rain clinging to her lashes as she looked up at the hostel building-unfamiliar, yet full of silent promise. She didn't flinch as the cold drops soaked through her clothes. Instead, she welcomed it. as she forgotten the world in that moment, she get the call. Receiving the call she moved towards the hostel building.

Yagna's POV:

As the sun dipped below the city skyline, I stepped through the grand glass doors of the luxurious girls' hostel, my suitcase quietly rolling behind me. The lobby shimmered with soft golden lights, marble floors, and cozy lounge spaces that gave the place the feel of a boutique hotel rather than a hostel.

I was greeted warmly by the warden, then she guided me to my new home - Room No. 5 on the third floor. My heart fluttered with a mix of nervousness and excitement as the door opened.

To my surprise, the room wasn't just a room - it was like a compact luxury apartment. A small yet elegant living room welcomed me, with a plush sofa set, a coffee table with books and plants, and a soft rug that made the space feel like home. Just to the side, a modern kitchenette gleamed with all essentials - a fridge, microwave, sink, and cute mugs hanging from a stand.

I stepped further in, eyes wide. The apartment was divided into three separate bedrooms, each with a cozy bed, soft lighting, and a dedicated study corner complete with a desk, a computer, and neatly organized shelves. Her assigned room had a private balcony that opened to the view of the hostel garden below, the breeze fluttering the white curtains gently.

My new roommates - two cheerful girls - greeted me warmly, making me feel instantly welcomed. Laughter echoed as they helped me settle in, gave me some snacks.

now starts the our interrogation..and normal people says" introducing ourselves with each other"

"Hi! I'm Aanya shekhawat, B.Com first year, Economics major!" said the girl sitting cross-legged on the sofa, tossing a stress ball between her hands. "If you ever get confused about managing expenses or budgeting snacks, I'm your girl!"

"And I'm Meher singhania," said the girl adjusting her stethoscope hung by her study chair. "First-year MBBS, majoring in cardiac surgery-don't worry, I won't use you for practice," she joked with a wink.

I am amused by their friendly nature and chuckled,

"I'm yagna trihan... fresher in LLB. First time living away from home."

Aanya beamed. "Perfect! We have a lawyer now! You can save us if we ever get sued for streaming too many movies in the theatre room."

"Or if Meher tries to operate on anyone after a midnight coffee binge," i added, and all of us burst into laughter.

"i must say, this room is like something out of a Pinterest board!" I gasped, dropping myself in a plush sofa set.

Aanya grinned, "Right? Wait till you see the theatre room. We literally watched two movies in one night last weekend!"

Meher chimed in, "And look at your desk-there's already a set of sticky notes and a diary we left for you!"

My eyes lighting up. "thank you guys This is way more than I imagined. I thought I was walking into a hostel, but this feels like a mini flat!"

They both laughed. "Welcome to Room No. 5," said one with a wink. "You're going to love it here."

Then came the biggest surprise - they took me to a common theatre room last room of the corridor. A dimly lit space with a large screen, bean bags, and fairy lights around the ceiling. It felt like a dream - a perfect mix of hostel life and a slice of luxury living.

I smiled, my heart full. This wasn't just a hostel - it was the beginning of memories, friendships, and the comfort of a new chapter.
